Raccoon Prevention and Exclusion in Delaware
Trim limbs and trees 6 to 8 feet away from buildings to prevent squirrels from jumping on roofs. Other wall growing plants should be trimmed as well. Bird feeders should be modified to prevent foraging raccoons. Raccoons use a 4 inch gap to enter. After raccoons have been removed, close openings with heavy duty 1/2 inch wire mesh, aluminum flashing or other suitable repairs.
